No False Hope, What You See Is What You Get

The best thing about digital photography is the immediate feedback. You see what you get as soon as you take it so there is no false hope. It is a great way to learn. With film photography you often think you got it and yet you do not really have it. With film it might take days or weeks or even years (in my case) to see the final results. With digi cameras you you can see what works and what does not work right now and make immediate changes to what your doing. You can correct composition, focus, exposure right in the field while your creating. Using a digital camera should also help my compositional skills with film. It is a win win thingy to shoot all types of cameras, you got to love film, digital or traditional processes like wet plate. Advanced types of photographic technologies and the older ways all have unique statements to make. What ever works use it, no rules!
