Dad August Tri-x Shots

This period of dads life is very difficult for him, mom has been great nursing and taking care of him, always there, always helping and encouraging dad to keep fighting. It is very hard to take these photos, sometimes I feel like I am hiding behind my camera. Making the photos helps me cope with this terrible time. I think dad realizes the pics are important for me, it's one of the reasons he is supporting the making of the series.

Here are some negs made in August with the Leica's and Tri-x at 800ASA. Using film definitely gives a different feel to the photographs, they seem more earthy. The grain, contrast and limited clarity definitely gives a different feel to the photographs. Push processing Tri-x to 800 adds to that feel even more. I seem to jive with film better than digi in b/w, hopefully I will grow into the digi photos.
