While looking at some Gerry Yaum photos on a google image search today I also came upon this old photo which was part of the bargirl series from 2003.
I wonder if I should not go through all those old images and make a selection of 10 or so for a new bargirl submission as well. I feel this work has some merit and that I should at least make a bit of effort to have the pics seen by a larger audience. The lives of these workers many who have probably passed away from HIV-AIDS related illnesses in the last 10+ years need to be told, or those lives will probably be simply forgotten.
I could work with the negs in photoshop and print them quite large for exhibition, if that ever happened.
